April is here and it’s already amazing! Ok, if you haven’t already guessed I may be still running on a sugar high from all the Easter treats I stockpiled over the weekend, but it’s all good. The weather is steady and we’re moving right along so I’ll have plenty of time to burn off all that energy!
If you’ve been visiting this blog for any amount of time, you have probably noticed that each month features a theme or some frame of mind that inspires writing or just becomes visually appealing. Can you believe, 30th image and 30 entries of me blabbering like a fool?
This month, no exception. This month, we’re focusing on the amazing aspects of our lives and work and we’re calling it…wait for it…Amazing April. I know, overly original and totally on point, but why muddle up the work when the easy is right there for the taking? Let’s start the process off right with a little poem that coincides with this spectacular month! ๐
Oh, how fresh the wind is blowing!
See! The sky is bright an clear,
Oh, how green the grass is growing!
April! April! Are you here?

Now that we’ve cleared the air and fired up the engines, let’s get to business! We love writing, we love reading, but often times, adulting forces us to switch gears and focus more on family, careers, life in general. All that combined is pretty amazing, but what about our writing? Are we still finding it amazing when we sneak off the grid for a minute or three of wordy sentence slinging?
What amazing things are you working on, hoping for, planning in the future? Are you just starting out and plan on dipping your big toe into the vast waterways of writing, or are you donning your birthday suit and diving in with another book nearing its release time? Are you testing a new genre, sticking with the one you love?
If you’re like me, 2018 has basically shot out of a canon and I can not believe it’s April already for I have barely nailed down any long-termย goals. I’m knee-deep in the editing mode of Book 2 of the Keeper Chronicles and that alone is pretty amazing, but where do I see myself throughout this wonderful year?
Last year, I could not believe I had actually written and self-published a book, let alone meeting some amazingly talented authors along the way from up the street and across the oceans. These people bring the amazing in more ways than one and offer up such a heartfelt sense of community, talent, support, and love that it’s almost supernaturally unbelievable and for them all, I am truly grateful. So, in closing, my amazing month is chugging along as I’m excited about Book 2 coming out sometime this year and for life in general not beating me over the head with a shovel as it usually does when I’m not looking.
I will continue to write, continue to read and thank my lucky stars for every single bit of amazing I have orbiting that small oddly shaped planet known as Kester Finley. Stick with me this month and experience some amazing! ๐
These posts will be about showcasing a random picture I find in the hopes of inspiring others to create ideas for their writing. Sometimes I provide the picture and randomly prattle on about something I find interesting, sometimes I do more than my fair share.
I have found that generating a quick 1-3 sentence scenario, a blurb, a scene, or a full novel concept based on a random picture has worked wonders in opening up the floodgates to new ideas and enjoyment in the world of fiction. It is my hope that others will find these images and possibly be inspired to jump into the wild world of writing and become the author they always wanted to be.
Without further ado, our 30th entry!-

An “amazing” photo to spark the imagination. I love it!
Wishing you the best as you finish up editing your WIP. I’m down to the writing the final quarter of my current WIP (it has an April 30 deadline) and am enjoying the rejuvenation brought by spring.
Happy writing!

I love the photo, Kester! “Amazing April” has a wonderful sound to it! Loved the cute poem. I wanted to sing it. I’m very happy to have met you too, my friend! ๐ I wish you all the best with your writing. I’m on the last chapter of the first draft for Son of the Serpent. I’m very excited although I’m no where near finished yet. I still have to go back and do my own edits, send it off to beta readers and then revise it again before it goes to the editor. Phew! But it’s a part of the process that will soon be done. Happy writing! โค xx
